Last Saturday Night.

Last Saturday Night partyyyyy. Partying almost every day is not so fun but this party was almost after two months of different stuff that happened, including quarantines.

Something.

So, I'm sharing this picture just because I like it. The story behind it was also hiding behind the wall so we would be able to smoke without others noticing that we did not participate in the outside activity.  Anyway, it was just the last part of it. P.s we were hiding from Martina - hope she doesn't read this.

First Quarantine.

Quarantine; This is one of the Romanian classes from the zoom. Happy faces of first quarantine together. Maybe quarantine story's are not always good, but ours are different always. That's because we had too many quarantines and still our faces are smiling. P.s the teacher was always starting from me.

Irina's collection.

A short story of the lighters.

Hiking vs Racing

Saturday's and Sunday's are hiking adventures for some of us. We are exploring Resita's beautiful nature on foot, every weekend there is a new destination. On the way, we also have fun, talking and creating imaginative stories on our heads. Sometimes we stop randomly to just play a game, this kind of games that we play during the week at schools with children. Sometimes some people from the group decide in the middle of the hiking to go to Racing and drink a beer. There are times where hikers also come prepared with their own beer for a hiking day in the mountains.

Meeting strangers with a big heart!

 22, August 2020 - SighiÈ™oara

Something it didn't even cross my mind. Guess what is it? I did not feel comfortable while others continued to enjoy conversations. But after we continued on the road with the second car that stopped for us, I realized that these people really have a big heart, I would not stop for someone I thought on my mind. I just would not believe that four people together as us, were in need so much that they stop cars with unknown people to reach a destination, in our case to visit a city. Anyway, it was the first time I tried this until we reached SighiÈ™oara. They were telling us interesting life stories, interested in our country stories - guessing our languages and one of them even bought us a coffee. I did not know if we should feel good and lucky or if we did not deserve all of that. Knowing that there are so many people out there who maybe are in real need.  But after this tiring day, all these local people I met left a big impact on me. They changed my way of thinking about strangers, the way of helping others in need. Maybe it is never safe to do Hitchhiking but for me, it was a sweet first hitchhiking.

Fields of Sunflowers on the way arriving

The view of the beautiful mountains and fields of sunflowers was the scent that accompanied me the first day I arrived in Romania. As I reached Resita, the first thing to catch my eye was an Orthodox church, usually one. I was lucky to have met two other volunteers on the bus coming from Sofia to Resita, on the same day. I was so tired and also my mind was thinking about how to pass two weeks inside. I had to do self-isolation before starting everything else.

I came to Resita on the 28th of July 2020 joining a team of volunteers after 14 days of self-isolation working on many different projects related mostly to the Roma community who are willing to take part in our activities. A haven for them, a place where they can learn a bit of something, where they can meet their friends without being in the streets, and where they can have a bit of fun with young people from other countries.

Cockroach Family.

Last but not least, cockroach family.     You might wonder why cockroach? Well as everyt...
