Fields of Sunflowers on the way arriving

The view of the beautiful mountains and fields of sunflowers was the scent that accompanied me the first day I arrived in Romania. As I reached Resita, the first thing to catch my eye was an Orthodox church, usually one. I was lucky to have met two other volunteers on the bus coming from Sofia to Resita, on the same day. I was so tired and also my mind was thinking about how to pass two weeks inside. I had to do self-isolation before starting everything else.

I came to Resita on the 28th of July 2020 joining a team of volunteers after 14 days of self-isolation working on many different projects related mostly to the Roma community who are willing to take part in our activities. A haven for them, a place where they can learn a bit of something, where they can meet their friends without being in the streets, and where they can have a bit of fun with young people from other countries.
